I chose a pair of purple feathers that were labelled as earring charms, but as soon as I saw them I knew they would be perfect alongside one of my porcelain dreamcatcher beads.
The feathers were wrapped with copper wire and some antique Czech beads and used as dangles below my dreamcatcher charm. I also added a small bronze heart from TheaElements.
To attach the leather, I chose a ceramic oak leaf from TheaElements with a glass donut on the opposite side for the closure. I was going to attach some sort of clasp, but I really like the look of the leather just tied to the glass!

They look perfect with your dream catcher bead such a beautiful necklace!
ReplyDeleteYou are right that the feathers are perfect dangles for your dreamcatcher bead. This is a great necklace. I love the colors. It's not a combination I would think of, but now I want to use it because it looks so wonderful.
ReplyDeleteWow! I would never have thought to use them like that. Love it!
ReplyDeleteWhat a wonderful use of these earring charms! Your necklace is so beautiful, I love the earthy, tribal look with the touch of purple.
ReplyDeleteHi Caroline,
ReplyDeleteGorgeous necklace I love how all the elements came together to bring out the beauty of the leather feathers. Adding your Dream Catcher bead was the right touch.

What a fabulous design and color selection for Fall! I love it, Caroline! It would be beautiful to wear with a chunky simple sweater!
ReplyDeleteThey are perfect for your dreamcatchers (which I finally have one of them in my possession!) I love your design....perfectly balanced and so beautiful.
ReplyDeleteI really love that design, and the color combinations are just gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteGreat design Caroline...Love the colour palette and the elements all work c together.
ReplyDeleteI would never have paired purple and honey - they seem too complimentary to me. Yet in your hands they are graceful together. I love your dreamcatcher. The glass loop is a great clasp - echoes the dreamcatcher nicely as well.
